This was a great final book to Pettrey's Alaskan Courage Books. I have now read all of them but the 4th, which I intend to read soon. Having said that, I didn't feel lost reading this one even though I hadn't read #4; so these books can be read alone even if you haven't read the others, you will just know more about all the other characters if you read the others first. I continue to love the characters and how they have evolved throughout this series. This book was a quick read with plenty of mystery/suspense to keep me reading. I liked this book more than some of the others in the series and love how Pettrey tied it all up at the end.
