Murder at the Mikado book review

Murder at the Mikado Julianna Deering is a great murder mystery book that kept me guessing til the very end. It was the third in a series, I believe, and I have not read the 2 books that came before this one.  I could tell there was probably a back story that I had missed out on, but I did not feel lost at all when I read this book.  I think she filled in enough of the details so that you do not have to have read the previous 2 books in order to understand what is going on in this one (although after reading this book, I would like to go back and read the others).  This mystery kept me guessing right up until she revealed who the murderer was.  I normally figure out whodunit way before it is revealed in the book, so this was a pleasant surprise.  I really enjoyed the characters and writing style of this author.  This is the first book I have read by Julianna Deering and I look forward to reading more.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
