The Fiddler Book Review
I am an avid Christian Fiction reader and was so pleased when I saw that Bethany House Publishers was looking for people to review some of their books for them. I quickly signed up and was even more excited to receive my first book to review. I received a free copy of The Fiddler from Bethany House to review. Having said that, I would have read it anyway because I am a big fan of Beverly Lewis's books. While I don't believe The Fiddler is as good as some of Lewis's other books (I didn't get through it as quickly as I did with some of her other books), this book did not disappoint me. The Fiddler has complex, likeable characters and a sweet storyline. The story was wrapped up nicely at the end and I was pleased with how it ended. Different from some of Lewis's other books, this one was told mainly from the perspective of an Englisher. I appreciated how her 2 main characters followed God's leading despite some opposition and difficulties. Overall a good story and I look forward to reading the next book in the series, The Bridesmaid.
