Dark Road Home is the 2nd book in the series Edge of Freedom by Elizabeth Ludwig. Dark Road Home was a good read, but definitely did not engage me as much as the first book in this series. I found it kind of slow, suspense-wise, and it took me awhile to get into the book. The ending picked up a lot more, so I got through that part a lot quicker. I enjoyed learning more of Ana's story and it was fun to have the stories of the characters in the first book continue in this book, so I did enjoy the story more for those reasons. There were a lot of loose ends at the end of the story, so this book almost seemed like an in-btween book to get from the first book to the next one. There really wasn't a resolution to a lot of the issues that came up in this book. That being said, it was a bit disappointing to have to wait til the next book to find out the conclusion to some of the issues in this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I have a beautiful three year old girl and one year old boy. It is a privilege to be able to stay home with them. I started my Etsy store as an outlet for me to continue to use my design skills and to have something to think about other than my kids :o) I love designing invitations and special photo gifts. I hope you like them and find them useful.
I have a degree in Graphic Design from Northwestern College in MN and worked at a printing company for about 4 years before having my daughter, at which time I began freelancing.
