Learning to Love Book Review

Learning to Love: Passion, Compassion and the Essence of the Gospel by Heidi and Rolland Baker is a book about Heidi and Rolland and their work with Iris Ministries. The book did not have as much application for growing your love and compassion as I had hoped it would.  It was difficult for me to get through.  It felt very pieced together and did not flow well at all and I didn't particularly like how they kept awkwardly switching authors.  While the stories were wonderful, many of them were very similar and a lot of them seemed to be promoting their ministry rather than expanding on the title of the book.  I think the book should have been titled differently as it was not really all about "learning to love" and what love looks like as the title and description implied, but more about Iris Ministries and the wonderful work they are doing in Mozambique and other areas of the world.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
